Summary

Metal-detecting between 1998 and 2022 recovered Late Iron Age, Roman, Late Saxon and medieval coins; a medieval lead Boy Bishop token and a number of other, Early Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Roman silver insect brooch; an Early Saxon gold pyramidal sword fitting; an Early/Middle Saxon unidentified object; a Late Saxon silver penannular finger ring; a Late Saxon/medieval strap-end; a medieval scallop-shell mount, harness pendant, strap distributor and copper alloy seal matrix and post-medieval fleur-de-lis harness mounts and a coin weight.
