Metal-detecting between 1992 and 2018 recovered prehistoric worked flints including a prehistoric blade and core, Neolithic to Bronze Age flakes and a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age core; and Roman and Early Saxon pottery; the copper alloy core from an Iron Age plated forgery stater; Roman, Early Saxon, Middle Saxon medieval and post-medieval coins, including a Merovingian issue, and undatable and Roman to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds included an undatable copper alloy ingot and copper alloy sheet; Roman brooches, a furniture fitting, cosmetic mortar, mount, copper alloy finger ring, figurine, military horse harness pendant, bracelet fragment and gold necklace link/clasp; a possibly Roman bar of copper alloy for metalworking; Early Saxon brooches, sleeve clasp, and wrist clasp hook-plate; Middle/Late Saxon hooked tags and strap-ends; a Late Saxon strap-end; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval harness mounts, lead weights, seal matrices, lead ampullae, a lead spindle whorl, book clasp, unidentified object, and purse frame fragment; a medieval/post-medieval candlestick, coin weight, lead weight, rowel spur, scale tang knife end-cap, and copper alloy vessel fragment and a post-medieval coin weight, unidentified object, harness mount, cloth seal, and crotal bell.
