Summary

The 17th century farmhouse and stables here were remodelled in about 1830. Both are built of carstone with brick dressings and have black unglazed pantile roof tiles. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic and the stables have two storeys.

Full description

September 1988. Listed, Grade II.
Late 17th century farmhouse, remodelled about 1830, carstone with brick dressings, black unglazed pantiles, end external stacks, gable parapets that to west with slate capping. Three bays, two storeys and attic. T-shaped plan with three cells to front, rear wall of central cell recessed to front of rear wing.
South façade: shell carstone, plinth of galletted carstone rubble, dentil cornice, central bay articulated by flush vertical brick stripes; tall central doorway, rectangular light over door; windows with flat arches, casements with Tudor grille cast iron glazing bars, of three lights to bays one and three, those to ground floor with transoms, of two lights to central bay of first floor.

17th century stables, remodelled about 1830, shell carstone with red brick dressings, hipped roof of black unglazed pantiles renewed. E-shaped facing south. Seven bays two storeys.
