Summary

A Mesolithic flint tranchet adze was ploughed up here in 1976, while metal-detecting between 2015 and 2018 recovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins as well as a medieval thimble and a post-medieval strap fitting.

Full description

1976. Stray Find.
Ploughed up on small sandy hillock:
1 Mesolithic chipped flint axe with apparent left-handed tranchet. Dimensions 16.8cm by 5.5cm. Triangular section. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1976.377).
