Summary

Finds recovered at this location between 1986 and 2016 (primarily as a result of fieldwalking and metal-detecting) include prehistoric worked flints; Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; a post-medieval ceramic tile fragment; a Roman puddingstone quern fragment; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and a range of other, medieval to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a medieval/post-medieval buckle and drop handle from chafing dish or furniture and post-medieval buckles, crotal bells, a finger ring, hooked tag, belt mount, furniture handle escutcheon plate and possible harness hook.

The cropmarks previously recorded under this number are now NHER 49319 (ring ditch) and 49324-5 (enclosures).

Produced worked flint, medieval unglazed sherds, Roman greywares, post medieval sherds including lead glazed earthenware and mostly 18th century stonewares
