Summary

Metal-detecting between 1997 and 1998 and again in 2006 recovered Late Mesolithic/Early Neolithic and Early Neolithic worked flints; a small Middle Saxon coin hoard; medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and Roman to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include Roman brooches and hairpin; an Early Saxon brooch; a Late Saxon strap end and bridle cheek piece; a Late Saxon/medieval padlock; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories including a medieval silver brooch and silver finger ring; a medieval silver seal matrix, horse-harness pendant, spurs, copper alloy vessel leg and lead spindle whorls and a post-medieval pin and lead cloth seals.

Pre 22 April 1997. Metal-detecting.
1 Late Mesolithic/Early Neolithic flint blade core.
1 Early Neolithic flint leaf arrowhead.
2 Roman brooches.
1 Early Saxon cruciform brooch fragment.
1 Middle Saxon copper alloy pin.
7 medieval coins, 1 silver brooch, 1 silver finger ring, 1 silver seal matrix (S5), 1 horse-harness pendant (S1), 1 button, 1 strap/belt mount, 2 ?strap end, 5 buckles, 1 spur, 1 copper alloy vessel leg, 2 lead spindle whorls and 1 lead alloy unidentified object.
1 ?medieval ?lead weight.
1 medieval/post-medieval hooked tag.
1 post medieval jetton, 1 bell, 1 bell/vessel fragment, 1 buckle, 1 pin, 1 lead cloth seal and 1 lead ?powder-charge cap.
3 undatable lead vessel repairs/plugs and 1 ?weight.

1 ?medieval spur terminal and 1 writing lead.
1 post-medieval jetton, 1 belt/harness mount, 1 buckle, 1 sword-harness hook (or similar), 1 bell and 1 lead cloth seal.
