Pillbox; north of railway, east of station.
From photograph in (S1) this seems to be of concrete, possibly rectangular or else half-polygonal, with door to south and slit to east.

The pillbox described above is visible on aerial photographs (S4-S5), along with two others to the east (NHER 54526 and 54527), presumably positioned to defend the Bury St Edmunds and Thetford railway.
