Summary

Fieldwalking in 1993 recovered a fragment of a Roman mortarium rim and a number of medieval to post-medieval pottery sherds. Metal-detecting on several occasions between 1993 and 2014 recovered ?Late Upper Palaeolithic, Mesolithic/Early Neolithic and undatable Late Prehistoric worked flints; medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; medieval brick fragments; a possible Roman coin; a post-medieval token and undatable and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undatable lead weights; a medieval spindle whorl or lead weight; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy ring and vessel fragment and a post-medieval purse bar, buckle, crotal bells and a lead cloth seal.

1 Mesolithic/Early Neolithic flint blade core.
1 Late Prehistoric retouched flint blade, 2 notched flakes, 2 retouched flakes, 1 ?fabricator, 1 small blade and 12 flakes.
1 ?Roman ?coin.
6 medieval pottery sherds (unglazed), 2 brick fragments, 1 horse harness pendant, 1 unidentified copper alloy object, 1 lead pot mend and 1 lead weight/spindle whorl.
7 medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds (LMT), 1 copper alloy ring and 1 copper alloy vessel fragment.
10 post-medieval pottery sherds (including Glazed Red Earthenware and stoneware), 1 purse bar, 3 crotal bells, 1 lead cloth seal and 1 white metal bell.
4 undatable lead weights.
