Summary

Metal detecting in Hillington during 1990 and 1994 has led to the discovery of metalwork of Iron Age, Roman, Saxon, medieval and post medieval date. Objects that have been recovered include an Iron Age Iceni coin, Roman coins, an Early Saxon wrist clasp, Middle and Late Saxon coins, Late Saxon mounts and French and German post medieval jettons.
