Summary

Metal-detecting between 1989 and 2013 recovered undatable prehistoric, ?Lower Palaeolithic, Early Neolithic and Neolithic worked flints; Iron Age to Middle Saxon and medieval to post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton and token and Roman to post-medieval and undatable metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman/Early Saxon strap fitting; Early Saxon brooch fragments, buckle, wrist-clasp eye-plate and girdle hanger; a ?Late Saxon silver ingot; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval lead weights and a copper alloy vessel fragment; medieval/post-medieval skimmer, copper alloy vessel fragments and lead weights; post-medieval coin weight, spur, tap, crotal bells, lead cloth seal, lead weights and lead musket balls and undatable copper alloy casting waste.

Middle Saxon? Base sherd.
Two medieval sherds including one rim.

Metal detecting.
16th-17th century copper alloy button, similar to Amsterdam.

Early Saxon, ?Late Saxon, medieval, post medieval and undatable metal objects.
Finds include a ?Late Saxon discoidal silver object initially identified as an ingot but perhaps more likely to be a weight. This silver object was acquired by Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2006.476)

1 medieval/post-medieval skimmer and 3 copper alloy vessel fragments.
3 post-medieval coins, 1 jetton, 1 buckle, 5 buttons, 2 lead buttons, 1 harness mount/belt mount, 1 crotal bell and 1 lead weight.

From central part:
1 ?Lower Palaeolithic reutilised flint flake (retouch more recent, suggesting reuse of an old flake).
1 medieval coin and 1 copper alloy ring.
1 medieval/post-medieval pottery sherd (LMT).
2 post-medieval coins, 2 pottery sherds (Glazed Red Earthenware), 2 buckles and 1 button.

From southern part:
1 medieval buckle.
1 post-medieval button, 1 crotal bell and 1 lead weight.
1 undatable lump of copper alloy casting waste.
