January 1986. Hales Survey, Heckingham site 28.
Good conditions, winter cereal.
Two flakes.
Five medieval unglazed sherds.
One late medieval/transitional.
Five post medieval.

Field survey of proposed extension to Norton Subcourse Quarry (Extraction Phases 11-13).
The small assemblage of finds recovered comprised:
24 Neolithic or Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age worked flints, including 1 core fragment, 19 flakes and flake fragments, 3 blades/blade fragments and 1 end scraper.
8 ?prehistoric burnt flints.
5 Roman pottery sherds.
2 medieval pottery sherds.
3 medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds.
21 post-medieval pottery sherds.
No significant concentrations of material were identified.
The metal-detecting recovered only modern objects and other recent debris.
