Name:Hunstanton Middle Bronze Age hoard and Mesolithic flint blade

Summary

In 1974 a Middle Bronze Age hoard and a Mesolithic flint blade were discovered. The hoard of copper alloy objects comprised a palstave, a torc, a neck ring, a pin and a bracelet. It was found after a drainage ditch was recut.

Full description

January/February 1974. Stray Find.
Found on rough grazing near coast, in the side of a newly cut dyke by [1]:
'Ornament Horizon' Bronze Age hoard comprising palstave, torc, necklet, pin, bracelet. See drawing (S1).
The torc, the necklet and the palstave are now held by the King's Lynn Museum (KILLM : 1974.9.1-3).

KLM 6 inch map (S5) gives location of this hoard at [2] but A. Lawson (NAU) says there is no doubt that his reference is accurate, and their map is wrong.
