Summary
In 1985 partial underpinning of the wall here uncovered various medieval and post medieval objects. Finds included post medieval clay pipe fragments and lead glazed earthenware, an almost complete medieval Raeren jug and numerous animal bones and shell fragments.

Full description
March 1985. Partial underpinning of wall to about 2.4m (8ft) deep.
Lots of clay pipe fragments and lead glazed earthenware, salt glazed stoneway and Delft bleeding bowl fragment.
Bone includes cattle, sheep, pig, rabbit, bird and fish.
Shell includes oyster, cockle and mussel.

July 1985. Southeast of finds above in hole about 1.2m (4ft) deep.
Almost complete Raeren jug (some of base missing).
