Full description

April 2018. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A boundary bank, of unknown but probable medieval to post medieval date is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a 2015 lidar survey (S1). It could perhaps have formed the northeastern boundary of Santon warren (NHER 54065), as it correlates with the perimeter of the warren as outlined in the first Breckland Society warrens survey (S2). However, in a later survey (S3), the limits of the warren are recorded as being more extensive, in which case this bank may have been an internal trapping bank, lying parallel to a perimeter bank on the line of the A143 Mundford road.
