Summary

A brick structure located in Lynford Park (NHER 30470). It has four pillars, one at each corner, which are connected by arches at height. It measures 3.5m square at the base and is estimated to be 6-7m tall. It is not shown on a map surveyed in the 1880s, suggesting it was probably built during the late 19th century or early 20th century.

Full description

February 2014. Rapid Identification Survey. HA 91.
A square brick structure located in Lynford Park (NHER 30470).
The structure has four pillars, one at each corner. Arches connect the pillars at height. It has a concrete base but no roof. It measures 3.5m by 3.5m at the base and is estimated to be 6-7m tall.
The bricks are red, machine made and measure 21.5cm by 10/10.5cm by 6.5cm.
It is not shown on (S1), suggesting it was probably built during or later than the 1880s.
