August 2009.
The site of the Battle at Hringmaraheior; Old English Hringmere-hūō, Ringmere Heath between the Danes and the Saxons in 1010 is not known. There are two possible sites near Thetford, Ringmere, Wretham, Norfolk and Rymer Point in Suffolk, which is called Ringmere in early sources. Ringmere in Norfolk sits at the junction of the five parishes of Croxton, Wretham, Kilverstone, Bridgham and Roudham and Larling.
