Full description
[[[[[[[November 2002 - January 2003. Geophysical survey. Bacton to King's Lynn Transco pipeline. Construction section 8, plot number 217.
A scatter of weak linear and pit-like anomalies were identified at the western end of the plot by the geophysical survey.

[[[[[[[[March - August 2003. Bacton to King's Lynn Pipeline. Site 8 (plot 217).
Excavation in the south-eastern area of this site revealed a small truncated pit containing six pieces of an Early Neolithic plain bowl in flint and sand tempered farbic. Two pits containing Early Iron Age pottery also made with flint-tempered fabric were recorded and the abraded nature of the pottery could suggest that these were redeposited. A ditch of possible medieval/post-medieval date was also recorded.
See (S2) Appendix.
