Fieldwalking in 2006 recovered prehistoric worked flints, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery and a fragment of medieval roof tile. Metal detecting between 1997 and 2018 recovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, medieval to post-medieval jettons and tokens; and undated, Bronze Age and Roman to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an undated unidentified object; a Bronze Age spear and awl; Roman brooches, a furniture fitting and a votive model; an Early Saxon buckle; Middle Saxon strap fitting; Middle/Late Saxon strap-end; Late Saxon bell, stirrup, strap-end, and strap fitting; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval ferrules, seal matrices; an ampulla, balance, brooch, dagger, furniture fitting, harness, key, leash swinvel, mirro fragment, pendant, ring, spur, scabbard fragment, spindle whorl, stylus, and weight; medieval/post-medieval cauldron fragments, weights, book fittings, a purse fitting and a thimble; and post-medieval seal matrices, coin weights, a brooch, crotal bell, harness fitting, furniture fitting, knife fragment, scissors, spur fragment, strainer fragment, vessel fragment and a spoon.
