Summary

Metal-detecting between 1996 and 2019 recovered Middle Saxon, Late Saxon and medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and tokens and a range of other, Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Roman brooch and cosmetic mortar; Early Saxon brooches; a Middle/Late Saxon brooch and hooked tag; a Late Saxon strap end, buckle and Scandinavian trefoil brooch; a Late Saxon to post-medieval lead spindle whorl; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval mirror case, mount, harness pendant and lead seal matrix; a medieval/post-medieval thimble, copper alloy vessel fragment and unidentified silver sheet object and post-medieval harness mounts, a spur fragment, book fitting, mount, lead weight and lead cloth seal.

1996. Metal detector finds. [1].
Two 4th century coins.
Three medieval coins.

Said to have been another eighteen coins found!
One Roman brooch.
Sub-circular mount with two attachment shanks on back and two projecting terminals, one is plain, the other has decoration of notched sides between transverse grooves. Decorative horse harness mounts probably. Late medieval or early post-medieval. Polaroid in file.
