Summary
The post medieval icehouse was bricked up in 1971. All that can be seen is a gault brick arch set in the mounds on the east side of the lake. The mounds were formed of spoil from the lake when it was first dug out.

Grid reference corrected on ground with reference to (S2) by E. Rose (NLA) 5 April 1998. All that is now visible is a yellow brick arch blocked up in breezeblock with an inscription to the effect that it was 'bricked up' in 1971. This is set in the mounds on the east side of the lake, formed from spoil when it was first dug out.
