Late Saxon and medieval pottery, a Late Saxon trefoil brooch, a medieval lead weight and a medieval purse frame found by metal detecting. Metal detecting in 2009 recovered a Late Saxon disc brooch and hasp.

Full description

December 1990. Finder's Field 19. General finds.
Medieval copper alloy ?purse frame (unusual form) with non swivelling loop.
Loop decorated. Pointed oval with projecting 'arm' in transverse hole, through which is twisted hollow rod, broken at both ends. Arm has moulded neck and risette in relief on each face. Pierced lobe at base of arm.
Oval lead weight, longitudinally pierced ?Medieval
7 Thetford type sherds, including 2 bases; 3 glazed Grimston sherds, including hole from bung hole cistern; 6 medieval unglazed.
