Summary

The large amount of Roman coins, pottery, and tile fragments found by metal detecting suggests that this site may be close to the possible site of a Roman villa. Saxon, medieval and post medieval coins and metalwork have also been found by metal detecting. These finds are part of a much larger scatter, see NHER 31571.
