Full description

May 1985.
Mound or area of high ground in marshes. Ploughed out.
Thetford type ware base sherd.
W. F. Milligan 5 August 1985.

Mound destroyed by bulldozing 1985, spoil moved to northeast of field where medieval sherds now occur from it.

Early 1996. Gridded fieldwalking.
Thetford type: four jar rims, five flat and three sagging bases,
Forty body sherds.
Three early medieval jar rims.
Sixty eight medieval unglazed.
Six medieval glazed, two late medieval glazed.
Three post medieval stoneware.
Two glazed red earthenware.
One brick lump, probably medieval.
Many large and fresh sherds.
