Summary

Metal detecting and fieldwalking from 1983 onwards have recovered a wide variety of objects from the prehistoric period to post medieval times. These include flints, pottery, coins, brooches and buckles. There are particular concentrations of finds from the Roman and medieval periods which may indicate that there was a settlement in the area at those times.
