This Witchcraft Case Study Pack is designed to work with the syllabus of the Edexcel GCSE History examination. This compliments and extends the information available online on the Norfolk Heritage Explorer website.
The Case Study Pack provides details from the website, copies of paper archives held by Norfolk Historic Environment Service, excavation reports, photographs and extracts from specialist journals and publications designed to help students develop an understanding of local examples of witchcraft from the 17th century. It provides an introduction to local sites and finds that can be used as comparative material for case studies covered in textbooks and allows students to understand Norfolk witchcraft in its local, national and international contexts. It is designed for GCSE students to use independently or as part of class exercises and the pack also includes suggestions for lesson plans, homework sheets and exam practice.
Images used in the pack can also be accessed in an online teacher's gallery for use on interactive whiteboards at: http://gallery.e2bn.org/gallery584.html
The pack is part of a series of Case Study Packs designed for Key Stage 3 and GCSE students available from Norfolk Historic Environment Service.
