A rengata (rengia or rengiatum) was a parcel of land in Great Yarmouth. Rengatae were long, thin, east-west aligned plots of land of varying width and length. While the width of many rengatae are recorded in various legal documents, very few lengths are recorded.
The size and shape of the rengatae form the basis for the Great Yarmouth Rows.
For a more detailed discussion of rengatae, and some sample sizes, see Rutledge (1990).
