A Palaeolithic flint handaxe was found on the surface of a field at this site in 1970. Metal detecting in 2005 recovered an Iron Age harness fitting and a post medieval hooked tag.

1970. Stray Find.
1 Palaeolithic flint handaxe. See drawing (S1). Now held by Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1970.530).
Information from (S2).
First reported in (S3) and subsequently described by J. J. Wymer on (S4) and in (S5) as a large ovate handaxe in sharp condition. This object is also listed in (S6) and (S7) although no additional information is given.
Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 14 August 2013.
