Summary

Fieldwalking in the 1960s and 70s recovered a scatter of Mesolithic and Neolithic flints. Also found were Neolithic, Bronze Age, Roman, Saxon and medieval to post medieval pottery fragments. An excavation in 1972 traced the course of part of a medieval roadway.

1960s-70s. Fieldwalking finds. Scatter of Mesolithic, Neolithic flint. Neolithic, Bronze Age, Roman, Late Saxon pottery. Excavation across hollow way.
