Summary

Cropmarks of an oval enclosure can be seen on an aerial photograph. Fieldwalking has recovered pieces of Iron Age, Roman, Late Saxon, medieval, post medieval and undated pottery. Medieval building material and prehistoric worked flints have also been recorded. This is the site of two concentrations of medieval to post medieval settlement.

(S1) records activity here continuing through the medieval period and into early post medieval times. A second concentration of settlement is on the margin of the Low Common. The second concentration contains recently demolished buildings hwere late medieval/transitional and post medieval pot was recovered.
