Full description

November 2004. Norfolk NMP.
World War Two anti-aircraft landing ditches are visible on contemporary aerial photographs (S1-5). These defences were centred on TG 3289 3482 and extended for 1.36km west to east and 860m north to south. The existing fields were divided up with a grid of narrow ditches and associated banks of spoil. The majority of the ditches had been put in place by September 1940 (S1-3). Ditches in the southern part of the area were excavated after September 1940 but were in place by January 1943 (S5).
