Summary

Aerial photography in 1996 revealed the cropmarks of a ring ditch with an inner ring. This may be a Bronze Age barrow, but it could also be the site of a Roman temple. There are further cropmarks visible, but these are indistinct. Additional linear marks are field boundaries.

Full description

18 July 1996. NLA air photography.
Ring ditch with parched inner ring ditch. Possible bowl barrow. Possible Roman temple. Possibly utilised in parish boundary.
Rectilinear enclosure appears to post date Sandy Lane. Date unknown.
There are potentially further archaeological remains in this field, but the cropmarks are indistinct.
Additional visible linears are field boundaries.
