Quite common 1940/41 type 24 pill box in hedgerow facing west.
Steel rods in roof for securing camouflage.

An extant polygonal World War Two pillbox is visible on aerial photographs (S3-6). This pillbox is located at TG 3388 3418. It is not present on aerial photographs dating from 16 August 1940 (S6), but had been constructed by 30 July 1941 (S3). Associated barbed wire defences and weapons pits are recorded as NHER 38985.
