Summary

In 1994 a fragment of Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age Beaker pottery with toothed decoration was found at this location. Metal-detecting in 2022 and 2024 recovered a number of metal objects, including a Middle/Late Bronze Age looped palstave; Late Bronze Age awls; a Roman brooch, cosmetic pestle and pin and post-medieval seed drill spoons.

August 1994. Stray Find. [1].
Surface find washed out of ploughsoil:
Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Beaker pottery sherd. Body sherd, 'fine' fabric with overall toothed/notched decoration in zones of horizontal and diagonal lines. See drawing (S1).
