Full description
Pre 1991. Stray Find.
Two worked flint implements were found at this location by [2] at some time prior to 1991. These were apparently identified by F. Healy (NAU) as "Solutrean points". This would suggest that they were Early Upper Palaeolithic leaf points, although it should be noted that it is now highly unusual for artefacts in this country to be described as 'Solutrean' (which usually refers to a Upper Palaeolithic flint industry found in particular areas of France and Spain).
Finder also states that the Neolithic chisels entered under NHER 17539 really came from here.
