Summary
Fieldwalking collected a large number of worked flint flakes. Some of these may be prehistoric. In one area a small number of post medieval gun flint blades were recorded. These were produced when gun flints were made on the site. No features typically associated with flint mining were identified on imagery from a recent lidar survey.

Full description
Autumn 1984. Fieldwalking.
Survey by [1] of Forestry Commission Plantation T.71 after felling of trees.
Around 75 to 100 crude flakes, some large, presumably prehistoric. Also a small number of proximal and distal segments of gun flint blades. Latter at TL 8225 9084.
