Summary

Between 1978 and 2021 a number of finds were recovered during gardening at this location, including a Late Upper Palaeolithic double-ended flint scraper, prehistoric flint flakes and sherds of Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery.

Full description

1978 onwards. Stray Find.
Ordnance Survey plot Great Fransham 117 (Post Office House and garden owner [1], and garden to west [2]). Finds in gardening.
Few medieval sherds, two flints, one sherd glazed red earthenware.
Also two joining 19th century sherds found in heart of clay lump wall at first floor level when knocking window through by [1].
