Full description

South of Brick Kiln Road and Old Brick Kiln Cottages on (S1).
Site of brick kiln, marked on (S2).

1978.
Cottages gone, field levelled.

[1] informed A. Rogerson (NLA) there was a brick kiln in a pit two fields further west (TM 353 934a) but the information was vague and may be a confusion.

Site Visit October 2012.
The kiln remains extant, entirely below ground and now covered for safety. The remains comprise a circular brick lined pit with a square top c. 1 m across.
