Full description

Moat.
North side gone; interior totally overgrown, known as the Roundabout.
Other ditches dry, deep, irregular on east; well embanked on interior.
Visited E. Rose (NAU) 9 November 1978.

Dairy Farm adjacent to north is Old Hall Farm on (S1).

It measures overall 54.0m east to west by 52.0m transversely and the seasonally waterfilled arms attain a maximum depth of 1.5m.

The moat described above is visible on aerial photographs (S2-S3) indistinctly through the tree cover. Unfortunately it was not clear enough to map, and was certainly no clearer than the outline depicted on the Ordnance Survey mapping.
