Full description
Long Mound on aerodrome site examined 1941.
Erected about 1700.
Destroyed 1941, 27m long, 8m wide, 6m high, no ditch.

1975.
Informant said site visible as patch of clay in slight hollow.
E. Rose (NAU) 1975.
Finds on undisturbed clay towards centre of mound were fragments of upper part of a bellarmine.
At east end, at higher level, a William and Mary halfpenny of 1692, from a rabbit scrape.
