A Late Saxon or medieval sword and medieval silver coins were found in the 19th century at an unknown location in the parish.

Full description

Sword found with silver coins (not described).
Chester called AS in (S1) and (S2). R. R. Clarke (NCM).

(S3) confuses this into two finds; '1868; Saxon sword and silver coins' '1849 three keys, iron sword, three feet long, gilded on hilt and pommel, 'Johannes Kevller' on blade'. Coins found in digging a well.
