The late 16th century gatehouse or garden building described above is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs, such as (S2). Using the locational information provided by the aerial photographs and modern Ordnance Survey mapping the Monument Point for the site has been replaced by a Monument Polygon which more accurately locates the site.
