Name:St Nicholas' Church, Feltwell


The earliest parts of this church date to the Norman period. The ruined Norman round carrstone tower has a huge tower arch, and it originally had a later octagonal top that can be seen on some early illustrations. The chancel was demolished in 1862 and the tower fell in 1898. The south arcade was built in the 13th century whilst the north and south aisles and the north arcade are 15th century.
