Summary
In 2005 a hoard of 145 Bronze Age copper alloy objects was found in a garden. The majority of these pieces were axeheads, spearheads and sword blades. A Viking brooch was also discovered.

Full description
April 2005. Stray Find and Metal-detecting.
Discovered while working with a mini-digger in garden:
Late Bronze Age hoard - one hundred and forty-five items dating to about 800 BC.
Found during metal-detecting survey undertaken to locate remnants of hoard:
Viking brooch.

Brooch donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2005.354) who also subsequently acquired the Bronze Age hoard (NWHCM : 2007.77).
