Summary

An alien Benedictine cell was founded here prior to 1199. It remained independent until 1321 but became a cell belonging to West Dereham in the period 1336-1400. The priory was dissolved in 1539. Winnold House is built into part of this Norman priory but has undergone 17-18th century alterations.
