Full description
May 2001. Metal detecting.
Late Saxon bridle cheek piece fragment (S1).
See and description in file.
S. Ashley (NLA), 3 October 2001.
June 2006. Corrected findspot indicated on ground by finder.
Finder states he also found a 'Thetford Ware burial urn'. [1].
One presumes the date is more likely to be correct than the function, which is probably due to a misunderstanding.
E. Rose (NLA), 9 June 2006.

Medieval large and elaborate spout from copper alloy vessel (probably a ewer).
