|Name:||Roman pottery sherds/possible kiln site|
A scatter of Roman grey ware pottery pieces were recovered from this site in 1997 and 1998. As all the sherds looked very similar, which may suggest that a Roman kiln was located here and that these are the remains of vessels produced here.

Scatter of Roman grey ware pottery. Several bucketfuls of pottery seen September 1999 by D. Gurney (NLA) at Blackford Hall. All looks very similar, so perhaps a kiln site?
