In 1996 about 40 World War Two anti-tank blocks, running up the embankment and along the cutting, were noted on this site. They form part of the defences around Norwich linked to the anti-tank ditch (NHER 51893).

A further line of anti-tank blocks (NHER 20338) continues south of Yarmouth Road.
Additional anti-tank blocks have also survived to the northwest, at the junction of Pound Lane and Laundry Lane (NHER 32532)
