Summary

A V2 rocket landed on this site in October 1944, creating a large bomb crater which was later turned into a pond. Fragments of the rocket were found on the edge of the pond in 1989.

Full description

3 October 1944. 16.55hrs. Crater formed by V2 rocket.
6.1m (20 feet) deep, 15.2m (50 feet) diameter.
Subsequently enlarged into pond.
Several rocket fragments found in 1989.
