Summary

Fieldwalking in this area during 1988, as part of the Illington Survey, recovered Iron Age, Roman, Early Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds along with a medieval bronze vessel and prehistoric flints. Subsequent metal detecting in 1998 recovered various items including a medieval strap fitting and part of a post medieval knife.
