(S2) describes as an area of about 35000 square metres where Iron Age sherds are densely concentrated and may represent a settlement of some strength. Scattered finds in surrounding fields probably originated from the site and there is a small outlier to the east. The site lies on higher ground within a looop of the Watton Brook. There is no question of activity lasting into the Roman period. No sign of the site appears on aerial photographs.
